Your Homepage and YOU
Every user has a topic on their profile; please feel free to use it however you like. Note that these pages are unmoderated, and your ignore-list will block others from viewing it. You can customize the display of your page, and put a statement at the top dedicating it to a specific topic, if you'd like. Posting on others' pages will even dynamically link/merge them with your own!



Discipline and Punishment
  • Moderators Moderators should be primarily concerned with threads rather than posts. Note that they cannot ban people. Their powers are to appoint thread monitors and manage threads. We can have moderator elections every so often once the site gets rolling.

  • Discussion Monitors - primarily concerned with posts in a particular thread. Can probate posters in threads they are monitoring for up to 9 hours - but only once per post. Probated posters can't post until the probation time is up.

OK. being a little informal is fine, but i'm going to start asking people to take offtopic discussion to their personal userpages while we are still in the formative phase of this forum.

things like youtube links that dont have anything to do with the subject at hand, or short asides, please try to keep it to the userpages, or perhaps to other threads. if things get derailed for more than, say, five posts, i suggest that's the limit. take the derail out of the thread.

rule of thumb here is if you are directly addressing someone with an aside or a derail, take it to their userpage, unless you really think this will pertain to the general discussion/more than one other person



there is a link on ever nonbanned poster's post, between 'Favorite' and 'Quick Reply' that says 'Reply To 's Homepage'. you can use that to reply to their post directly onto their User thread. that's a neat feature, use it! Its kool! Youre kool.
